CONTROL THE COMPARISON
Several North Africas
Different preservation, environments and histories make different questions possible. These selected comparisons are a starting set, not a complete regional survey.
These first-pass cards retain their original Carthage, Tunisian and Libyan scope. The linked second-sweep atlas adds selected Moroccan, Algerian and Egyptian cases, Saharan settlement and later occupation; neither release is an exhaustive North African survey. Caption corrections and unresolved access
CEDAC Bulletin 23 could be screened only through indexed excerpts; the full PDF exceeded the web-reader size limit and direct retrieval failed DNS resolution. Its author and article title are not invented. The Ridley article and Mattingly’s 2023 book are reading priorities with limited access, not claimed full-text readings.
